ARTE Documentary Film Project with SVA

ARTE is thrilled to announce its partnership with a group of talented film students in the School of Visual Art's MFA program in Social Documentary Filmmaking, supporting the work of non-government organizations throughout the city. Over the last few months, the the documentary film crew has closely captured the work of ARTE, filming our workshops with middle schoolers in Queens, international visits from the United Nations, and interviews with ARTE staff members. The crew seeks to share the story of ARTE, through the eyes of an artist and past ARTE participant, Gabriela, living in Queens, and to explain the power of creation and imagination in building a social justice movement. Thanks to Beth Levison, the course instructor, and the incredible documentary film crew for their great work. We are excited to see the final product in the spring!
