ARTE is an organization that uses art, design, and technology to empower young people to develop creative solutions and bring awareness to local and global human rights challenges, fostering leadership opportunities to train and organize other young people in their own communities.

Since the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948, no document has more clearly outlined the inherent rights and freedoms guaranteed to every human being. Despite the importance of this influential document, many young people may feel disconnected or not see the relevance of the UDHR and human rights in general in their lives. ARTE is committed to providing quality human rights education, provided in both a local and global context, to youth populations, and by extension, the communities they identify most with.
We are firmly dedicated to cultivating the next generation of social justice leaders creating public works of art that seek to transform the way communities best understand and realize human rights in their own neighborhoods, and in the context of the greater global society.
