ARTE uses the arts to educate and inspire young people to organize around human rights issues. Given our commitment to supporting youth of color through creativity and self-expression, we are thrilled to be honoring the legacy of Frida Kahlo, a radical, queer unapologetic feminist of color. On Friday, December 9, 2016 ARTE hosted a community celebration at the Starr Bar in Brooklyn, a night inspired by Frida's work including interactive arts activities, celebrity video greetings, drinks, food, and conversation. This community event was part of a larger fundraising campaign to support ARTE's efforts to build a sustainable movement of human rights organizing through the arts. If you are still interested in donating to ARTE to support our work, please visit the following page. You can also e-mail questions directly to marissa@artejustice.org
