Clare Kambhu​

 

 

 

Clare is an New York based artist/educator. Primarily a painter in her art work, she finds herself regularly noticing details and observing her surroundings. Whether in the studio or the classroom, these moments of noticing lead to questions and investigations about the construction of our world and how we can take steps toward mending it. In her education work, she is as a public high school teacher in Queens, aiming to plant seeds for her students' own investigations. 

 

Clare holds a BFA in studio art and an MA in art education from NYU and is expected to complete her MFA in painting at Yale School of Art in 2018.

 

She does not have a single favorite artwork (too big a decision). But below is one that is dear to her:
