Krysta Camea "Camie" Manayon

Camie is an optimistic individual who dabbles her way making art. She is currently in her last year of college, majoring in Studio Art with a minor in Asian Studies focusing on Japanese culture. Someday she pictures herself being an art educator in a museum setting or a non-profit organization. In her spare time, you’ll find her getting immerse with the latest manga series, taking pictures of graffiti and street arts in the city, crowd-surfing in concerts, or humming to video game tunes in a local park. She enjoys exploring different opportunities and trying new things all the time.  She is interested in exploring the different styles of graffiti and street art and hopes to develop different curriculum and activities based on it. What she hopes to gain from ARTE is to be more comfortable in her writing skills and create different lesson plans for the community to educate young people about human rights and learn how to express and raise awareness.

Camie’s favorite art piece is located in many parts of NYC sidewalks called ‘Protect Yo heART’ by UnCasso (@uncuttart)
